Are you planning a wedding?
With so much choice and so many ideas being posted on the Internet and social media it can all be pretty overwhelming.
Where do you begin?!
One place to start is with the wedding trends being predicted for 2019.
It’s not necessarily about being ‘on trend’ but about reflecting some of the changing fashions and tastes to make your wedding guests comfortable with a celebration that is fun, relaxed, reflects your personality and is, ultimately, memorable for all the right reasons.
Read on for part one of our 2-part blog rounding up some of the latest wedding trends we love that will make your day that extra bit special. (Click here to see the second part of our Wedding Trends 2019 blog.):
Embrace bright colours because orange is the new pink! Move away from conventional whites, creams and pinks by adding a splash of colour and make a bold statement… Pantone’s colour of 2019 is a cheery, bright pinky-orange named ‘Living Coral’… ideal for bridesmaid’s dresses and floral arrangements. Opals and colourful stones are seeing a rise in popularity as an alternative engagement ring and colourful confetti makes for wonderful photos.
Classic Wedding Dresses…
Styles that have been influenced by the Royal Weddings are classic cuts in simple fabrics, wedding gowns with sleeves and the halter neck… clean lines with no embellishments.
For men stylish sharp tailored three piece suits in neutral and earthy colours are the way to go, and with the ever growing popularity of rustic weddings, Heritage fabrics are both stately and suave with tweed being favoured by many.
Illustrative bespoke designs are being used throughout wedding stationery, not just on wedding invitations but on place names, maps, menus and wedding favours, unifying narrative throughout the decor… these make a wonderful keepsake memento of the day.
Our own personalised chocolates and sweets, each individually wrapped and printed with your choice of images, photographs and messages are perfect for adding a personal touch to any wedding, and for showing appreciation to your guests for their love and support.
Out Is In…
Green is in with a huge growth in outdoor weddings, with trees, lush foliage and grasses taking centre stage… and many are reflecting this trend indoors, with the traditional floral arrangements giving way to grasses, especially pampas grass, as the decoration of choice for arches and aisles.
Gone are the days of the big cake cutting moment… instead of focusing on a huge cake that often goes uneaten couples are opting for a number of dessert options for their guests… great for catering for all needs and tastes.
