Wedding Trends 2019 – Part 2

Planning a wedding can be a daunting experience… where do you begin?!

This is the second of our 2-part blog rounding-up some of our favourite wedding predictions for 2019.

New for 2019… in the wake of the Royal Weddings in 2018 there is a clear move to a more traditional and relaxed style of wedding with classic white wedding dresses, simple wholesome food, rustic flowers and foliage and traditional stationery…

Boho-floral Arrangements…

The trend is for more subtle low displays of informal, romantic, natural wildflowers for both the aisle and tables.

Laidback Catering & Grazing…

Food vans have been popular as an alternative way to cater for weddings but now sharing plates, ‘farm-to-fork’ concepts and ‘grazing tables’ are taking their place, serving as a more relaxed and laidback way to offer simple and tasty food.

Banquet-Style…

Banqueting tables make for a more relaxed and informal table arrangement coupled with low floral arrangements and wholesome food, meaning guest can see each other and the happy couple can sit in the middle without feeling they are on stage throughout the meal.

Time Out…

With people wanting to party till late, wedding couples are increasingly offering ‘wind-down’ moments.

These break periods are being held between the main event and the ‘after-party’.

New and unusual ways to entertain guest are a ‘sing along’ around a grand piano, tarot card readers, staff in character and even opera singing staff.

Scented Ambiance…

Candles have always helped create a romantic mood but to enhance the ambiance further consider using scent to create an atmosphere. You could even create your own for the special occasion.

Ethical & Eco-aware…

People are thinking more about the planet and the options for an eco-conscious wedding are ever increasing. Where possible wedding couples are choosing to go plastic-free and foam-free flower installations, linen napkins, glass straws, locally sourced ingredients that are in season and plants that can be replanted will help ensure a positive future.

Thoughtfulness…

Treat your guest with a thoughtful gift… hangover packs, bespoke scented candles, emergency food packs and bespoke chocolate that will remind them of the day.

Our own personalised chocolates and sweets, each individually wrapped and printed with your choice of images, photographs and messages are the perfect way to show appreciation to your guests for their love and support over the big day.

In summary, the wedding trends for 2019 are all about going bespoke… let your imagination soar and the magic begin!
